This Sri Nagadevatha Sannadhi is situated in the Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple. It is situated in the Bappanadu village of Mulki town. The main deity of this temple is Goddess Shree Durgaparameshwari. As a return for a favor, Bhagavathi, her other sister goddesses, and Deity Guliga, visited Lord Vishnu and asked for a boat made of sandalwood for a journey from the heavens to the earth with an intention of settling down for the betterment of earthly people. During her voyage, Bhagavathi stopped to rest and took a tender coconut from one lower caste devotee and wished to settle at Sasihithlu. Goddess Durgaparameshwari emerged symbolically in conjunction point of Shambhavi & Nandini River at Mulki border. According to the legends, it was built by a Muslim merchant named Bappa Beary. Bappanadu Sri Durgaparameshwari temple is one of the main Shakti worship center. Here the main deity is in the form of Linga. Eligibility of Muslims for accepting prasad of the temple is one of the special features of the Kshetra. Muslims also participate in the temple festivals.
