There are many shops nearby selling towels that are black in colour, sachets of oil (gingerly), etc. Next you need to worship the small Kalitheertha Vinayaka in a little temple nearby by breaking a coconut. Next one needs to proceed in the direction of the Dharbaranyeswarar temple that is five minutes walking distance. Devotees offer any blue flower, blue piece of cloth, black sesame seeds and lit gingerly oil lamps. Special and Unique poojas are offered on Saturdays as that is the day of Saneeswaram.
