HYMN LX

The wooing of a bride

With forelock loosened o'er his brow here comes the wooer of
the bride,
Seeking a husband for this maid, a wife for this unmarried man.
Wooer! this girl hath toiled in vain, going to others' marriages.
Now to her wedding, verily, wooer! another maid shall come.
Dhatar upholds the spacious earth, upholds the sky, upholds the
Sun.
Dhatar bestow upon this maid a husband suited to her wish!
